2022 Southwest Florida Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD supporting FSHD Society

After an empowering and impactful campaign last year, the SWFL Chapter of the FSHD Society is once again participating in the Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD - the only national event focused solely on funding progress for FSH Muscular Dystrophy.
FSHD is a degenerative muscle disease that causes progressive weakening of skeletal muscles. Little by little, it steals away patients’ strength and their ability to complete even the most basic tasks - like holding your child, brushing your hair, doing the laundry, and standing independently.
Though there is no cure, there is HOPE. Over 20 pharmaceutical companies are actively researching a cure, with clinical trials underway and on the horizon. You can be part of the movement to find a cure! Your contribution or attendance on September 10th gives hope to the nearly one million patients worldwide.
Register to "walk or roll" today, as a team or individual walker. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates or congregation to join you. Everyone who registers will be given a free participant page and access to a state-of-the-art fundraising center. From there, you can share your story on social media and via email, or invite others to join you in getting us closer to a cure!
Together, we will find a treatment for FSHD. Find out more information about the Walk & Roll and see photos from last year's hugely successful campaign here.
